Help Center

How Cinethread works.

Short guides for each app in the suite — what it does, how to get started, and the things worth knowing once you're running.

A finished Cinethread call sheet: dark header with the production title and shoot day, a call-time band showing general crew call, shooting, lunch, wrap and weather, then key contacts, location and hospital, and the day's schedule table.
The finished call sheet for day one — assembled from the schedule, the Library and the day's weather. Every screenshot in this Help Center is the real app, running its built-in demo production.

Call Sheets

Build the day, pull cast, crew, locations and weather, then send it to the unit.

Scripts

Import, revise and lock pages so everyone works from the current draft.

Schedule

Order the shoot on a stripboard and let the day re-flow when things move.

Budget

Build the budget, track actuals line by line, and manage versions.

Travel

Coordinate flights, ground and lodging, and send each traveler an itinerary.

Contracts

Draft deal memos and releases, send for signature, and file the signed copy.

Invoices

Send estimates and invoices, take payment, and track what's outstanding.

Crew & Library

One contact list for cast, crew and locations, reused across every day.

Cinethread AI

Break down a scene, draft a call sheet, or import a document in one step.

New here? Start with these three

  1. Create your production. Sign in, then add a production with its title, dates and shoot days. Everything else hangs off it.
  2. Fill your Library. Add cast, crew and locations once — every call sheet, schedule and contract pulls from it, so you never re-type a phone number.
  3. Build day one. Open Call Sheets, pick the day, add scenes and calls, and send it. That first sheet takes about ten minutes; the next ones take two.
The Cinethread Productions screen: a three-month shoot calendar with shoot days marked, above a production row showing its day chips and how many call sheets have been sent.
Productions is home base — a rolling shoot calendar above every production you're running, each showing its days and how many sheets have gone out.

How the pieces fit together

Cinethread is one system, not nine apps that happen to share a login. The same people, locations and dates flow through all of it — which is why nothing asks you to type a phone number twice.

Good to know

It saves as you go

Edits save automatically and sync to your other devices. There's no save button to forget.

No app to install

Crew open a link — no account, no download. Add Cinethread to your home screen if you want it one tap away.

Bring your team in

Share a production with a manager or producer and you're both working on the same live document.

Links stay private

Sent sheets and itineraries open without a login, but their addresses are unguessable and you can revoke them.

Common questions

Do cast and crew need an account?

No. They get a private link that opens straight to their call time, the schedule and directions. Only people building the production sign in.

What if something changes after I've sent the sheet?

Edit it and push the update — everyone's existing link refreshes, so nobody's holding a stale sheet. You can see who's opened the new version.

Can I work on a plane?

Yes. Cinethread keeps a local copy, so you can keep editing offline and it syncs when you're back on a signal.

Can I get my data out?

Call sheets export as PDF, and the Library imports and exports as CSV. Nothing is locked in.
