Budgets or Costs?
Two places for numbers, each with its own job.
Budgets is the long-form budget, under Money. A production's Costs tab is its plan, the one costing every screen of that production shows.
- Use Costs for the plan a client approves, the deals made from it, and the estimate made from it.
- Use Budgets for a long-form budget you keep on its own.
- They are separate. A change in one never changes the other.
- Access is set per person: Budgets is off, view or edit for each member of your team.

The production's Costs: the client approves the revision of the plan they were shown, on their own page.
Will editing a budget change a production's Costs?
No. They are kept apart.
Who can open Budgets?
Whoever you give it to: each member of your team has Budgets off, view or edit.
