Cinethread is made by Strillogy Productions, a film and video production company that runs its own shoots on it.
Why it exists
A production runs on a call sheet, a crew list, a gear list, a set of itineraries, a stack of agreements and a book of invoices. Kept in separate places, they drift apart, and someone stays late putting them back together.
Cinethread keeps them in one record. The people on the call sheet are the people in the costs, the agreements and the payments. The places on the day are the places the scouts sent. The estimate is the one the client approved.
Four rules
Say what really happened
Sent means a message was accepted. Saved means the server has it. A count with no signal says how old it is.
Work where the work is
On a phone, on set, and where the signal drops.
Keep people's details private
Each crew member, traveler and client sees their own page. A stored W-9 has no web address.
Never overwrite quietly
When two people change the same thing, the one who sees the clash chooses.
Who it is for
The producer who runs the whole job, and the team around them: managers who send the call sheets, producers who follow along, and the crew, clients and travelers who open a link and never need an account.
