Arrange the script's scenes into shoot days on a stripboard, then push the board to the call sheets after reading every change it would make.
cinethreadScenes become strips.
Link the production's script and its scenes become strips you arrange into shoot days, with a break at the end of each.
- A strip is a scene: its number, set, day or night, cast and length in eighths.
- Strips follow the scene, not its position. Edit the script and a strip keeps its scene, its day and its place in the breakdown.
- One page count everywhere. The script editor, its PDF, the strip and the call sheet all measure a scene the same way. A length typed by hand is marked “set by hand”.
- Locked scene numbers carry over, so a scene inserted after 12 is 12A on the board too.
Review every change, then apply it all at once.
Push to call sheets writes the board onto the days. Nothing moves until you have read what will change, in words.
- Days and scenes are matched by who they are. A scene moved to another day takes its cast and notes with it. The first push pairs days in order, and says so.
- Every change the crew would see is listed: a set, interior or exterior, day or night, a time, and “Day 1 of 3 becomes Day 1 of 4”.
- A sent day keeps its date unless you tick Change the date.
- All or nothing. If any day can't be updated, nothing changes. Undo puts back only what nobody has changed since.
Your first board
- Link the script. Open the production's Schedule tab and link the production's script, or import one in Scripts first.
- Arrange the strips. Drag them into shooting order on a computer and add a day break where each day ends.
- Push to call sheets. Read the review, tick Change the date only where you mean it, and apply.
- Update the crew. Days already sent show what changed; press Update crew copy when you are ready.

Undo
A push can be undone, as long as nobody has changed those days since.
From the script
An empty scene description is filled from the script, on days not yet sent.
Bound to the board you read
Apply uses the board as it was when you opened the review.
On a phone
The day reads well on a phone; rearranging strips needs a computer.
Common questions
Does a push email the crew?
No. It changes the days. A day already sent then shows that the crew's copy is behind, and nothing reaches their phones until you press Update crew copy.
Will a push change a day the crew already have?
Only after you read it. The review lists every change the crew would see on each day, and marks the days whose crew copy will need updating.
Can I keep the date the crew were sent?
Yes. A sent day keeps its date unless you tick Change the date in the review.
What if someone edits a day while I'm reviewing?
The push is tied to what you reviewed. If the days changed meanwhile, it refuses rather than writing over them, and you review again.
