Build the shooting day once — cast, crew, locations, weather and scenes compose themselves, then go out to the unit.

What it does

The call sheet is the day’s single source of truth, and in Cinethread it isn’t a document you retype every night. It assembles from what already lives in your production: the scenes you scheduled, the people in your Library, the locations you saved, and the weather for that date. You edit the parts that are genuinely different today, then send.

Getting started

  1. Pick the day. Open your production and choose a shoot day. Cinethread creates the sheet with the day number, date and general call already in place.
  2. Pull the scenes. Scenes come across from the Schedule with their set, int/ext, day/night and page count. Reorder or add one-off scenes right on the sheet.
  3. Set calls. Add cast with individual call times, then crew by department. Anyone already in your Library comes in with their role and contact details attached.
  4. Add locations and hospital. Choose the day’s locations from the Library — address, parking notes, base camp and the nearest hospital travel with them.
  5. Review and send. Check the preview, then send. Recipients get a private link (no login), and you can see who opened it.

The editor

Building a day happens in a block stack you can reorder — production header, schedule, cast, crew, locations, notes. The bar across the top tracks how complete the sheet is and tells you what's still missing before it's safe to send.

What the crew sees

Recipients don't get a PDF attachment they have to pinch and zoom. They get a private link that opens to their call time, with the day's schedule, directions and a confirm button underneath.

Tip. Build a day you’re happy with, then duplicate it for the next one — the structure carries over and you only change what moved.

Common questions

Can I send to just one person?

Yes — resend to a single recipient without re-sending to the whole unit. Useful when one person's call moves.

What if I don't have a script or schedule yet?

Add scenes straight onto the sheet. The Schedule is a convenience, not a prerequisite.

Does the sheet show everyone's call time to everyone?

The full sheet shows the unit's calls, as a call sheet should. What's personalised is the top of each recipient's mobile view — it leads with their own call.
